Scott McRae presents “Colors”, a group of colorful artworks created by his signature style of brushstrokes, palette knife work, color theory, and depiction of subject matter that is treated imaginatively.
This show is at the Longview Public Library exhibited in the Koth Memorial Art Gallery 1600 Louisiana, Longview, WA.
The show is from May 10 to May 30.
Scott McRae will be exhibiting small paintings at the Broadway Gallery this April. The art has a primarily Spring flavor to it and most of the pieces are designed to be propped up on a table or desktop to brighten your day.
The photo here is an example of one of my small works that will be in the show But is framed with ample black mat to showcase it better and more dramatically.
Scott McRe with his floras and landscapes and Lorena Birk’s animal sculptures and paintings will be among the 40 artists who will be displaying at Lake Sacajawea this year from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. There will be lots of art and there will also be food and drink at this event. Art in the Park is being put on by Longview Parks and Recreation along with the Columbian Artist Association.

“Spring Rhodos” by Scott McRae, 2011
Brush your teeth to get them white
Covered with Crest that gives them blue tonight
Cover the canvas with blues and purple
And other colors quadruple
The white of the paper is the jealous kind
That serves the artist to unwind
It wants to stay
The artist gives way
The white teeth of the paper
Has come to stay
